Synopsis

Driven into isolation by alcohol and leeching friends, a bad job and a possessive girlfriend, a desperate artist is losing himself in the alluring illusion of a perfect love.

An illusion though, that triggers dreams and desires that lay forever dormant. It is the illusion of a perfect love, free of judgment and expectation. But can his love survive?

His past looms over his happiness like a dark cloud, soon to erupt.

PERFECT LOVE is a tragic comedy about a man’s attempt to cope with loneliness and isolation. It polarizes and offers everyone his or her personal space for projection.

Born in 1975 in Cologne, Germany, Frank Genser studied acting at the acclaimed Folkwang Conservatory in Essen. His great talent brought him long term engagements at Schauspielhaus Cologne, Staatstheater Dresden and Schauspiel Dortmund. In his career he has been exceedingly successful, starring in lead roles of the classical and contemporary repertory.

Gerlind Eschenhagen

Born in 1979 in Bogota, Columbia, Gerlind has studied Acting at Bayerische Theater Akademie August Everding in Munich, Germany. She has since worked in Theater, ranging from Paris in Dante’s “Divine Comedy” to Schimmelpfennig’s “Vorher/ Nachher” as well as in Film and TV.

Darius Etemadieh

Director / Producer

Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, as a child of an Iranian father and a German mother, Darius studied photography, classical singing and acting in the USA and stage directing in Germany at the Hamburg Conservatory for Music and Theater. He has since worked in major theaters and opera houses, like Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Komische Oper Berlin or Hamburgische Staatsoper, and is much drawn towards film, where he can utilize all his faculties for one work of art.

Jens Hallmann

Born in 1984 in Mühlheium a.d.Ruhr, Jens is a Bachelor of Arts Camera, with a degree from TFH Berlin. He has worked in many films as Director of Photography and Camera Operator. Jens is Co-founder of Berlin Fashion Film Festival and CEO of H 6 F Furore GmbH Film Production.

Sybille Jagfeld

Set Design

Sybille Jagfeld, born 1971 in Munich, Germany, became a goldsmith, before she studied Multimedia Art at the Akademy of Art in Munich and Set Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Carrara, Italy. She has worked at Opera Festivals like the Arena di Verona as well as Bregenz and at the Theaters of Linz and the Opera Magdeburg. Since 2007 Sybille lives as a freelance Artist in Berlin, Germany.

Isabel theißen

Isabel Theißen studied Fashion Design at The Art Academy in Bremen. During her studies, she started designing Costumes for the theater and has been working in that field since.
Isabel has held engagements at the Bremen Theater, at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Staatsoper Berlin. She has worked with acclaimed Directors like Christof Loy, Marcus Lobbes or Andreas Bode.
